HOMELESS

26 – 27 May 2017, Pop Up Project Space, Miami

Homeless is an exhibition in a pop up project space that will take place in a private house in Miami, Florida, United States. The aim is to create quality shows outside of the conventional art scene. This first exhibition is a collective show with local and international artist of different disciplines including: painting, sculpting, film, music and installation.

The works will be presented with in a quotidian home environment. It is a old house built in the 1920’s situated in North Miami just outside of the wall that divides Miami Shores, a upper class neighborhood from a more working class area that doesn’t even have a name.

The concept of this collective show is to talk about the idea of a home in a political, social or personal viewpoint, to address this idea based on cultural heritage, identity and patriotism.
In a country like the United States that is composed by different cultures and nationalities who set base here, and in light of the current political situation. This project is pertinent to a brooder sense of commonality as well as a more introspective view of shelter and community.
