Come and see chromaticité: Two brand new works by the Canadian artist Jonathan Inksetter.
The Montreal based visual artist Jonathan Inksetter works in video, sound, sculpture, installation, and as an interdisciplinary collaborator in dance and new performance. Last year we met Jonathan during his residency enabled by Calq and Atelier Mondial in Basel, where he elaborated the first ideas for chromaticité. This ingenious project immediately captured our interest, and we are very proud Jonathan agreed to present two works in progress during Ad Astra, the grand annual celebration night of the Fonderie Darling. With this evening, we are also celebrating the end of our residency in Montreal, which we will leave by the end of the month.
As we are the last Swiss artists in residence at the Fonderie Darling (the program is cancelled after almost 30 years! ) we want to close the doors of the Atelier Suisse with an attitude of lasting exchange and friendship with the local artists. Without them our stay in Canada would have been far less meaningful!
